We are frequently asked how much a website would cost, and in my head (not aloud), I often respond with “how long is a piece of string?”
Snarky commentary aside, the cost of a website varies wildly. We can do a project for as little as $1000 if certain conditions are met, but the typical custom project will be a bit more than that. We have completed projects between $1000 and $40,000, there is a great deal of room for specificity in coming up with an accurate quote.
The best thing to do is get in touch with us, tell us about what you want, and then we can have a conversation about your project and see if we can realize your vision within your budget.
The most important aspect of this conversation is to make sure you get exactly what you need (which might be different from your vision/idea right now), and then align needs, expectations, and budget to make sure we are on the same page before moving forward. Learn more about this by visiting the page about Our Process.
Also consider that with maintenance, testing, and continued improvement (see Our Process), you will want to budget some money every month. This can be as little as a few hundred per month, or as much as several thousand, depending on the scope and complexity of your website.
No one should flounder in indecision or confusion when it comes to a website. Too many people are held back for weeks or months because they struggle putting their website together.
We want to help everyone not struggle, even if we only connect you to a solution that fits your needs better.
With the explanation above on costs and prices, you may still wonder what our hourly rate is so you can compare to another agency. Our billing rate is $125 per hour on production work, and $195 per hour on website consulting work.
We are not the cheapest or the most expensive, but those rates fit our business model and our customers are happy.
We provide a level of service and expertise far above the typical web design freelancer or large agency, so our projects are typically more comprehensive than simply development work, and our prices and project scope reflects that.
